These Plastic Folding pedals are suitable for ain Bikes Folding Bikes Fixed Wheel Bikes Hybrid Bikes and any Commuter Bikes. The main pedal body folds by pressing in and folding either up or down. Then just fold out and the spring action takes care of the rest. They are easy to fit and require only an open ended 15mm spanner and a little lubricant or grease to make screwing into the pedal arm easier. Features: * Thread fitting size is 9/16. This is the most common fitting size with only a handful of Kids' bikes with the older 1/2 thread size * Smooth strong steel axle with steel bearings * Designed to give good grip in all weathers * Built in reflectors front and back so they don't fall off * 100mm length and 70mm width * Weight 395g per pair Fitting Guide: * Remove your old pedals with a 15mm open ended spanner. Note that to undo the right hand pedal you turn the pedal thread in an anti clockwise direction. The left hand pedal is removed by turning the pedal thread in a clockwise direction. * Make sure the threads in your crank arms are clean. * Take your right hand pedal (see picture of axles to view R and L stamped to show which pedal is which) and apply a small a of grease or lubricant to the thread. This will help to prevent your pedals fusing to the crank arms. Grease is works best. * Using your fingers only at this time gently press the thread of the pedal into the threaded part of the crank and rotate the crank backwards. The thread should start to screw in. If it is not screwing in smoothly and easily remove and start again. Check that you have the correctly sided pedal. * Once most of the thread had been screwed in by hand finish with the 15mm spanner. They should be tight but not so tight that they start to cut into the crank arm. * Repeat for the left hand side.
