Review ------ Steve, Blue and the gang are off on a fun-filled treasure hunt. Children can help look for the treasure by exploring the house, school and park, looking for clues that will lead them ultimately to the Land of Great Discovery. Blue is adorable, as usual, and the program's graphics and animation rivals that of the television show. As children travel about, they'll come across activities that involve helping the characters. For instance, they'll recycle t, which is a sorting game and gather fall leaves according to color. The adventure has similarities to other Humongous products in that items are collected along the way that may prove useful later on. For example, kids have to obtain two Blue dollars in one part of the game in order to pay the admission price that gets them into another part of the program. In general, this is a likable CD. Some kids were turned off by the excessive talking at the beginning as too many instructions are given. The lengthy transitions between screens are also annoying, contributing to kids' waning interest. Still, for true Blue fans, this program will bring the Blue's Clues experience to the computer screen. Challenges range from helping Orange Kitten name supply closet objects to helping Magenta complete a drawing to creating a bedtime story for Paprika. The pay off is in the Land of Great Discovery, where fun possibilities abound-including playing Blue's 100-level computer game inside the clubhouse. Loads of Blue's to-do's that young fans can love and learn from make this an excellent choice for little kids.
